What humanity needs is the wisdom to perceive the inherent disposition or quality of a thing(s) or being(s) that they cannot discern from the outside, i.e. what is unchanging and irreplaceable, to perceive its nature. For example, the nature of fire is and always will be different than the nature of water. But humanity allows its God, its leaders and gods, to repeatedly manipulate their sensory organs, their perception, a primary function of their spirituality, i.e. the function of receiving or apprehending information; and by these leaders in media, government, business, religion, etc., who lead for this very reason and thus manifest an even greater capacity to spend trillions of dollars a year on social engineering to manipulate them again and again. Humanity will then grasp the ideas they perceive from those who lead in front of the television, in the church pew, in the laboratory, military, court, etc. in the form of a conception, another spiritual function, and form illusions of thoughts and desires, e.g. about the true nature of their existence, or where they don’t recognize the law of cause and effect, or adhere to misconceptions where they regard inferior things as superior, or where they view erroneous rules that regulate behavior and thought or practices as the true way to happiness. Humanity will then take action, using their volition, another function of their spirituality, and together with their conception of the idea, and use their consciousness make a value judgment, another function of their spirituality, which leads to unsuspecting illusions happening, i.e. distorted perceptions of thoughts and desires. Unaware illusions are the fundamental darkness that cause them to suffer; humanity then blames media, government, business, religion, who will NEVER reveal their understanding of spirituality, because not unlike humanity, greed, anger, foolishness, arrogance, and doubt are what fundamentally control them, as well. There is no separating the science, such as social engineering or any other science, and spirituality; and no end to grouping science and religion together without a personal God, gods, and leaders, but science will always require spirituality, i.e. perception, conception, volition, and consciousness, because they are spiritual functions of humanity that science uses to progress; and Not unlike the earlier explanation about humanity’s misuse of their spirituality, science calls for ethical responsibility to contribute to human happiness; yet even with this missing orientation in what is an infinite space in ten directions in a single moment of time, humanity gives its allegiance to evil, to a personal God, or gods and leaders, cause for disasters and calamities to occur. Not to wake up to “older truths” or to “wake up to science and learn on a higher level,” or for “people to believe in higher forces,” but for humanity to wake up to, a correct perception of, the truth. Humanity holds a mistaken view of the self as separate and independent entity, believing that which surrounds one is one’s own possession, but nothing in the universe can belong to an individual, because things and phenomena have no fixed or independent nature or existence of their own. Phenomena arise only by virtue of their relationship with other phenomena, so one cannot define phenomena in terms of existence or non-existence anyway. That means the self has no distinct nature or existence of its own, but instead; Humanity seeks to attach the self to ego and to phenomena that is only temporary, and continue to perceive its self as an independent and fixed identity. Then humanity complains to its personal God, its gods and leaders who brainwash and control their minds, about how unhappy they are, never seeking to relate to knowledge, especially esoteric mystical knowledge, reason or logic. “It is simply the mysterious nature of our life from moment to moment, which the mind cannot comprehend or words express. When we look into our own mind at any moment, we perceive neither color nor form to verify that it exists. Yet we still cannot say it does not exist, for many differing thoughts continually occur. The mind cannot be considered either to exist or not to exist. Life is indeed an elusive reality that transcends both the words and concepts of existence and nonexistence. It is neither existence nor nonexistence, yet exhibits the qualities of both. It is the mystic entity of the Middle Way that is the ultimate reality.” (Nichiren Daishonin) That is, the true nature of all things, which transcends the extremes of polar and opposing views, which is neither existence nor non-existence, nor temporary existence, but exhibits characteristics of both. “Neither birth nor extinction, neither cessation nor permanence, neither uniformity nor diversity, neither coming nor going…” (Nagarjuna Treatise). But it was Constantine in 325 AD who made it a matter of law and belief on the basis of faith alone rather than reason, to deify Jesus and enforce unpopular tenets with strong resistance from Gnostics; And then during the Second Synod and reign of the Roman Emperor Justinian, who would issue a decree banning the doctrine of past lifetimes or reincarnation, where “If anyone assert the fabulous preexistence of souls and shall submit to the monstrous doctrine that follows from it, let him be anathema [excommunicated].” Mythical figures can represent wonder and greatness of particular virtues or qualities of enlightenment, but religion has always been and always will be the same; the belief in and worship of a superhuman CONTROLLING power, especially in a personal God or gods, where the nature of control or power to influence and direct the behavior of humanity and the course of events will always lead to a world of asuras (anger). What point is there in fearing the transience or impermanence of all things? It is the nature of the reality in which we exist that all phenomena in the world eventually dies out and ceases to exist with the passage of time. So, what then of humanity’s belief is left, of its leaders, its personal God, or gods, then to connect their faith to the innate wisdom in their lives, and to embody compassion for the sake of others and the Law of causality? There then exists the potential for peace and good circumstances in the next life.
