The drive for equality will ultimately result in forcing uniformity and kill creativity and originality. To some, that may sound negative and bitter. To others, the distribution of advantages and disadvantages in society will inspire and motivate them, as though the norm of equality by which to measure them is somehow capable of accuracy. Who decides what is a genuine, positive friendship; would that be the same person who decides the common good? There is no one clear person you can hold responsible or accountable for your decisions, except you. Believing otherwise is just an excuse to engage with “experts” for total state control over your life. Happiness is not using social media more intentionally. Happiness is something we achieve for ourselves through our struggles. To do so takes an inner strength that makes us confident and positive to the point where we overflow with appreciation and gratitude. That is not something we can accomplish from following other people. Inspiration and motivation come from within.
